Vintage Concept Shoot

What is a concept shoot? It's a concept someone chooses (in this case me) and they carry out everything from location, to wardrobe to props. I have wanted to do one of these for awhile so I recruited my beautiful sister and her fiance to carry it out for me. I wanted vintage and I decided the Hoboken train station would be a perfect setting. We managed to snap a couple photos before getting kicked out for not having a permit (Doh). We made due with the outside location as best we could! Thanks Kas and Chris!! You guys rock!

I had so many more ideas at the train station, permit next time so I can complete the shoot :)

Where Lampshades Become Eye Candy!

Meet Rachel! Not only is my dear friend beautiful, she also has an amazing eye.  A residential interior designer and creator of Shades of Ooh and Ah, Rachel makes the lampshades in your house go from plain and boring to eye candy! I am in love with all the little details she puts into her work and I'm so excited to highlight this small business on my blog! Check out a small handful of her amazing work!

Celebrating one YEAR!

It has officially been 1 year since I made the decision to take my photography to the next level.  Along this journey I have met some incredible people. One in particular Lori Fields the founder of Real Beauty Is. 

I am constantly trying to find ways to better myself and this new venture and when I joined Lori's women in business group one of the MANY things she taught me is to celebrate how far you've already come. So here I am, with my 1 year blog, celebrating the distance I have come and hoping I continue to make leaps and bounds!

Here is a sample of my favorites from the beginning up to the present!

Last year, this mommy let me drag her all over Manhattan to take maternity shots, I learned SO much from this one session and can't thank you enough for allowing me to take this on!

Liz and Matt get married!

I have been lazy with my blogging but I am back on the ball! It's 2011 and before the holiday's got too far behind us I wanted to share my amazing New Year's with everyone! From the moment Liz and I started emailing I instantly felt her positive energy and when I arrived for the wedding she made me feel as if I were amongst friends, Matt was no different. This was a beautiful, happy couple that I was blessed to be able to share in their amazing night. I walked in a stranger and walked out with 200 close friends!
